The Secret Behind Leprosy-Mycobacterium Leprae

How it's Spread and  its Contingency Rate

Picture
There is a higher rate of children affected by leprosy than adults. The actual spread of this disease is not well grounded in deep and versatile research, however there is a sound basis that this disease is most likely hereditary.  This theory began with Dr. Hansen, who discovered that anyone afflicted with leprosy had a considerable amount of Mycobacterium Leprae embedded within their tissue. Those who are susceptible to this disease may contract it from airborne germs, and possibly insects.  There are many hypotheses to how leprosy is spread, and one growing conclusion is that the germs and bacteria associated with this disease may be spread through the air by nasal discharge of untreated lepromatous patients.  Hansen's Disease is not a highly contagious disease due to the fact that it is most likely hereditary, and  more than 90% of the human population is currently naturally resistant to this infection.  However, even these hypotheses are plausible to an extent, as there are still many cases of leprosy that have no confirmation of how or when this disease was contracted.
